Our Mission & Vision

Empowering children to understand their rights, excel academically, and grow into compassionate global citizens.

Rights Protect Children, Knowledge Empowers Them

Inspired by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Global Human Rights Principles. Written for children, their parents, and their teachers.

1
QUALITY EDUCATION

The Right to Learn

Every child has the right to go to school and learn — no matter their gender, background, or family's income.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"At Lilliput, we believe every single child deserves a classroom, a teacher, and a chance to dream big."
Think & Talk:
"What subject do you love learning the most?"
2
PROTECTION & TRUST

The Right to Be Safe

No child should ever be hurt — physically or emotionally. Every adult at Lilliput is trained to keep you safe.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"Your body belongs to you. If anyone makes you feel unsafe, tell a teacher or parent immediately."
Think & Talk:
"Who are the safe adults you can talk to at school?"
3
INCLUSION & EQUALITY

The Right to Be Treated Fairly

You cannot be treated unfairly because of how you look, where you come from, or what you believe. Everyone is welcome.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"Our school is like a garden with many different flowers — and that's what makes it beautiful."
Think & Talk:
"What can you do to make a new friend feel welcome?"
4
STUDENT VOICE

The Right to Speak & Be Heard

Your voice is powerful. If you think something is unfair, say it. Speaking up is exercising your right.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"Your opinions and feelings matter. We listen when you speak."
Think & Talk:
"If you could change one thing about our school, what would it be?"
5
CONFIDENTIALITY & CARE

The Right to Privacy

Some things are just for you — your diary, your thoughts, your secret dreams. Respect others' privacy too.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"Everyone needs a private space where they feel safe and respected."
Think & Talk:
"Why is it important to knock before entering a room?"
6
HEALTH & WELLNESS

The Right to Be Healthy

Your body and mind are precious. Eating good food, playing outside, and talking about your feelings are your rights.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"Taking care of your body and mind helps you grow happy and strong."
Think & Talk:
"What do you do when you feel angry or worried?"
7
PLAY & CHILDHOOD

The Right to Be a Child

Children are meant to play, laugh, create, and explore. You should never be burdened with adult worries.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"Play is not just fun — it is how you learn, make friends, and grow."
Think & Talk:
"What is your favorite game to play at recess?"
8
ECO STEWARDSHIP

The Right to a Clean Planet

Every child deserves clean air, safe water, green trees, and a healthy planet to live and play on.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"Taking care of Earth is taking care of each other."
Think & Talk:
"What is one small thing you can do to help nature today?"
9
DIGITAL PROTECTION

The Right to Be Safe Online

When using computers or tablets, you have the right to be protected from scary content and online strangers.

HOW TO TEACH THIS:
"The internet is a big city — always explore with a trusted adult nearby."
Think & Talk:
"What rules do you follow when using a phone or tablet?"

For Parents & Teachers

This page is designed as a teaching tool. Each section follows internationally recognized human rights principles but translated into language a primary school child can understand.

How to use this page with your child:

  • Read one section per day — don't rush through all at once
  • Ask the Think & Talk questions and let your child lead the discussion
  • Share your own experiences: "When I was your age, I once..."
  • Role-play scenarios: "What would you say if someone..."
  • Connect each right to something in their daily life at school

If you have questions, please contact the Principal's office.
